I now own some myself - and in my opinion, they are great for a number of reasons:
1) No rust
2) They don\'t bang up my paint (I have an expensive paint job on my new 47\' aluminum cutter)
3) I can SEE the contents and not have to guess what I have remaining
4) No sharp corners
5) No electrolysis potential
6) No sparks
7) Not going to be an electrical conduit (think lightning)
8) More suited for a salt water and humid environment than painted steel
They are a brilliant idea. A number of long distance cruisers in Mexico have specifically asked if I can bring down any extras, they would love to buy them from me. But, as we saw in the November election, being popular does not always make you right, so I will report in again after we have used these new tanks on \"Imagine\" for a couple years in the South Pacific.
