Hi Aubree -
We just finished a 26 day passage aboard sv Horizons, our Southern Cross 39, from Hawaii to the Pacific Northwest - the strawberries and bacon you sent with Steve were much appreciated and brought a new dimension to life aboard.
Life can be pretty basic offshore such that even a dry place to sleep is not taken for granted. With limited refrigeration, many common foodstuffs (like bacon) are rarely found on a boat. Canned bacon, however, sidesteps storage issues and works not just for breakfast, but with sandwiches or quickly prepared tortilla rollups at any time of day. And when conditions are too difficult to cook, cold cereal becomes the norm - adding strawberries brought a new, pleasant and unexpected dimension to sometimes tough sailing.
These two items from Cruising Supplies, and carried aboard sv Horizons made a difference during our voyage - Many Thanks!
